As one of the founding engineers, you’ll shape the entire technical backbone of the platform, processing massive volumes of video, audio, and text data to uncover actionable insights. The work sits at the intersection of backend systems, applied machine learning, and distributed infrastructure.
You’ll join a small, elite team of builders from top-tier engineering backgrounds (think large-scale systems, defense, and applied AI) who are united by one mission: use AI to accelerate real-world impact.
What You’ll Do
• Design and build high-performance retrieval and inference pipelines
• Work across backend and ML systems, from data flow to deployment
• Integrate and optimize LLMs/VLMs in production environments
• Develop secure, distributed infrastructure for sensitive data workloads
• Move fast, iterate, and own the outcomes end-to-end
What We’re Looking For
• 4–6+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in applied ML
• Strong backend skills in Python (FastAPI, PyTorch, LangChain, etc.)
• Experience building and deploying ML inference systems in production
• Comfort working with large-scale or high-throughput data systems
• Excellent technical communication and clear reasoning on trade-offs
• U.S. work authorization and ability to undergo relevant background screening
Bonus Points For...
• Experience with distributed or secure systems (Python/Go/TypeScript)
• Exposure to real-time data pipelines or retrieval-augmented architectures
• Prior early-stage or mission-driven startup experience
• A track record of curiosity and ownership, not just implementing models, but building the systems that power them.
