The Director, IT Integrations/AI will lead a technology roadmap to optimize connected SaaS systems architecture and drive the organization’s AI strategy, serving as a bridge between various business units and ensuring alignment with business goals.
Responsibilities
• Experienced enterprise automation process leader with cross-functional reach to orchestrate and build AI, intelligent agents, and automation across workflows.
• Provide technical vision to lead the design and governance of APIs, web services, middleware, and AI frameworks across a suite of SaaS business applications, ensuring seamless data flow and process automation.
• Collaborate with Architects and cross-functional business teams (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, People) to compile a prioritized, rolling Integrations Roadmap that aligns with business strategy for greater efficiency and productivity.
• Architect practical solutions via microservices, event-driven systems, containerization, API-first designs, and AI-enabled platforms to build connected, reusable, secure, and scalable ecosystems.
• Hire and build a team to meet the needs of the company’s growth strategy.
• Lead or participate in technical design sessions and create and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration solutions, including design specifications, architecture diagrams, and operational guidelines.
• Collaborate with fellow IT teams, including Application Admins and Developers, IT Project Management, and IT Support & Solutions as well as Security and Data & Analytics teams to ensure successful implementations.
• Collaborate with vendors to harness ROI and drive adoption of software investments.
• Establish and enforce integration development standards, ensuring the reliability and performance of integrated solutions.
• Implement frameworks and integration strategy to manage AI tools that achieve efficiency and productivity goals while managing risk, privacy and compliance.
Skills
• 8+ years of progressive experience designing and implementing integration solutions, including 5+ years leading technical resources in dynamic, high-growth environments.
• Experience working with iPaaS solutions (e.g., Workato, Mulesoft, AWS AppFlow) to integrate SaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, Gainsight, Rippling).
• Experience applying emerging AI/ML solutions in Generative AI and Agentic AI (e.g., ChatGPT, Glean, Replit).
• Strong knowledge of integration methods such as API (SOAP, REST), JSON, MFT, Pub/Sub, Webhooks, Event Driven Architecture, etc.
• Familiarity with authentication and authorization standards such as OAuth2, JWT, SAML, and API key-based security.
• Understanding of data solutions, structures, mapping, transformation, ETL processes for ease of collaboration with the Data & Analytics team (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake).
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills. Ability to influence and unify diverse stakeholders, advocate for change, and drive consensus quickly.
• Ability to see the 'big picture' and align enterprise architecture with business strategies to scale.
• Ability to mentor and guide teams, fostering a culture of experimentation, continuous learning, and innovation to build and scale AI capabilities.
• Curious mindset and ability to stay on top of emerging technologies and trends.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced, fully-remote environment in high-tech industry preferred.
