Founding Head of AI | AI Security Startup (Seed, Tier 1 VC–Backed)
An early stage AI security startup is hiring its first senior AI leader to own and scale its core AI systems. The company is building authorization and guardrail infrastructure that ensures enterprise AI systems only access and return data a user is permitted to see.
The company is founded by a repeat founder with multiple successful exits and is backed by a Tier 1 VC. The team is currently three people and this hire will play a foundational role in the company’s technical direction.
The role
This person will own the AI system end to end. This is not a research focused role and not a prompt only role. The majority of the work centers on evaluation, safety, observability, and production behavior of AI systems used by enterprise customers. The role involves making core architectural decisions, deploying models at scale, and defining how AI correctness, security, and reliability are measured and improved over time.
Profile
They are looking for someone who has shipped AI systems into real world production, ideally with meaningful user scale. Deep experience with evaluation frameworks, failure modes, and applied AI tradeoffs is critical. Titles are flexible.
Logistics
