AI-Enabled Product Developer (Hybrid - Denver CO Area ONLY)
We're a small, fast-moving product development company working with clients in education, legal, healthcare, and business operations. We build real production systems quickly using AI tools, and we need someone to help us ship faster.
The right fit is a technically-inclined creator who uses AI as a superpower, not a crutch, understands how businesses and users make decisions, and knows how to satisfy both with the tools they build.
What You'll Actually Do:
You'll work directly with me (the founder) to rapidly build and deploy internal tools and data management systems for clients across different industries. This means jumping between existing projects and starting new ones, using AI coding tools to move fast while understanding what's happening under the hood.
You'll be on Zoom with clients 5-10 hours per week, gathering requirements, live prototyping, and walking them through what you're building. The rest of the time you're architecting solutions and shipping code. This isn't a "take a ticket and code" role - you're translating business problems into technical solutions and then using AI to execute.
You Need To Be:
• Well-versed in many aspects of business operations because you've worked in and/or built several businesses
• Experienced with AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, or similar)
• Comfortable with project/product management
• Knowledgeable about hosting environments (Railway, AWS, Hostinger), DNS, and how databases work
• Proficient with GitHub and version control
• Able to work with various APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, Resend, etc.)
• A strong communicator who can present technical work to non-technical clients
• Scrappy and resourceful - you know when AI is gaslighting you and how to fix it
• Self-motivated and good at tracking your own work
• A curious generalist who's comfortable learning new things constantly
• Battle-tested—you've shipped things that flopped and came back stronger
What We're NOT Looking For:
Traditional dev who insists on doing everything manually, pure prompt engineers without real technical knowledge, people who need hand-holding, code monkeys who just want tickets.
This is not a traditional dev role. It's for technically-minded creators who use AI as a superpower to build amazing tools.
The Details:
• Full-time salaried (exempt)
• $65,000/year
• Hybrid (must be within driving distance of Denver for occasional company meetings, but fully capable of working remotely otherwise)
• You'll work with tools like Claude Code, Replit, various hosting platforms, and multiple API services
Why This Role:
Work directly with the founder of a small company where you get to create and be creative every single day. You'll have lots of flexibility in how you accomplish tasks, learn something new daily, and work with clients across completely different verticals for broad experience. Sometimes we'll meet up at a local coffee shop or craft brewery for work sessions. Rarely a boring day.
To Apply:
Send us:
• Your portfolio
• A video (5-10 minutes) of you walking through something you've built using AI collaboration tools - explain your process, decisions, and what you learned
We want to see how you think, how you communicate, and how you work with AI tools. This video matters more than your resume because you'll be doing exactly this with clients multiple times per week.
