Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/innovative-medicine Purpose: The Director, Commercialization Excellence AI & Digital Transformation Develop and lead the vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution for Commercial Excellence AI enablement: • Leverage AI to accelerate insight-driven Global Core Asset strategies that maximize asset value and patient reach. • Explore, design, scale, and embed AI-powered tools that improve how marketers build and execute strategy (user-first mindset). • Serve as Business Product Director for key Commercial Excellence digital products (e.g., ONEStop Portal, Digital Launch Excellence Tool, Digital Asset Innovation Planning). You will be responsible for: This leader will drive the optimization and adoption of Marketing Excellence, Launch Excellence, and CDT Excellence technologies across the organization, empowering 3M teams—including Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Market Access—with advanced AI and digital tools to build competitive, insight-driven Global Core Asset strategies while enhancing their effectiveness and experience. This role requires a strong enterprise leader who partners across GCSO 3M teams, R&D, Global Data Science, IT, and Legal/IP to drive the Commercialization Excellence AI & Digital Transformation agenda. Success depends on effective matrix leadership, executive influence, and the ability to align stakeholders, drive decisions, and mobilize cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable, enterprise impact. This role offers the unique opportunity to lead the development of cutting-edge AI products with high visibility and significant impact throughout Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine—including sales, marketing, medical, and patient engagement. As Director, you’ll have the chance to grow as a subject matter expert in AI applications, directly influencing research, shaping strategy, and guiding AI product development. You’ll collaborate closely with dynamic, cross-functional teams that are passionate about driving innovation in patient care and improving outcomes through advanced technology. Additionally, you’ll actively engage in partnerships with leading AI providers, helping to shape the future of AI and digital engagement with customers across the healthcare landscape. Key Remit of the Commercial Excellence Team: Global Brand Strategy: Proactively partner with DAS teams to create an integrated Global Core Asset Strategy that incorporated products, from pre-launch through post-launch. Ensure commercial strategies are grounded in insights that address market needs in future competitive environments. Apply Marketing Excellence best practices to help teams optimize and communicate asset potential in preparation for milestone investment decisions, long-range planning and business planning. Global launch planning: Collaborate with GCSO teams to build effective and innovative go-to market approaches for compliantly competitive and flawless launches. Ensure global launch readiness in all aspects of product development, from labeling and launch sequencing, to packaging and naming. Partner to champion well-coordinated global launch plans. Help prepare teams for governance reviews aligned to the Asset Development Plan. Accelerate organizational capabilities: Modernize Marketing Excellence and Launch Excellence approaches and deployment for consistent utilization across GCSO teams to elevate in asset strategy creation to propel winning product launches. Continue to identify build meaningful capability expansion within GCSO and in connection to the regions. Qualifications / Requirements: • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. MBA, JD or relevant advanced degree preferred. • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceuticals business is required. • Deep knowledge and experience in Marketing is preferred. • Experience in Global Marketing is preferred. • Demonstrated success of leading, building and continuous improvement of digital and AI-powered tools that have driven measurable impact is strongly preferred. • Knowledge in advanced statistical analysis and machine learning techniques, with ability to apply these methods to real-world pharmaceutical data to derive actionable insights is strongly preferred. • Demonstrated track record of leading highly matrixed, cross-functional teams required. • Demonstrated high learning agility and problem-solving capabilities required. • Demonstrated track record of strong collaboration across geographies and functions, and strong communication skills required. • Strong communication skills and ability to influence required. • Understanding of drug development processes and commercialization is preferred. • Deep knowledge of J&J culture and portfolio preferred specifically in Oncology, Immunology and Neuroscience • Travel of up to 10% Domestic and International • This position has a preferred location of Raritan, NJ with consideration to be in Titusville, NJ or Horsham, PA.
