Job Title Intern – AI/Deep Learning Medical Image Analysis – Cambridge, MA – Summer 2026 Job Description Intern – AI/Deep Learning Medical Image Analysis – Cambridge, MA – Summer 2026 Are you interested in an Internship opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing a graduate (PhD) degree to participate in 3 month paid intern opportunities at our site in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company. Your role: • Design, train, and evaluate foundational AI/deep learning models for medical image analysis using large-scale, multi-center patient datasets. • Collaborate with scientists and engineers to translate research advances into real-world clinical solutions. • Conduct systematic experimental evaluations and rigorously document findings. • Contribute to peer-reviewed publication and technical dissemination of results. You're the right fit if: • You are pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related physical science or engineering discipline. • Your skills include developing deep learning and AI-based foundation models for medical imaging, and you are highly proficient in Python. • You have experience processing and analyzing large-scale medical imaging datasets, such as medical ultrasound data. • You’re able to independently plan and execute research within a collaborative environment, and you have strong written and verbal communication skills in English. • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Philips Transparency Details The hourly pay range for this position is Masters/PhD Candidates: $33.00-45.00, plus eligible The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.   Details about our benefits can be found here. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
