Preferred qualifications: • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. • Experience developing technology/operational strategy and translating strategies into program/project plans. • Experience in leading transformation initiatives in operations/supply chain or management consulting. About The Job Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs. As a Technical Program Manager, you will join the AI and Infrastructure Programs team to drive large-scale transformation across the organization. You will mobilize cross-functional teams, deliver solutions for scale, and drive data-driven decision making to deliver a sustainable program that supports and accelerates the transformation of the AI and Infrastructure organization. Your passion, technical and business depth, and excellent organizational, communication, and people management skills will inspire our teams and rapidly establish trust amongst a different set of stakeholders and customers. In this role, you will solve challenging business and engineering problems. You will contribute leadership and experience managing across disciplines to produce results in a timely manner. You will drive execution of cross-cutting, complex programs and actions to closure, resolve problems and gain alignment, identify trends, determine improvement areas, and implement change. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $163,000-$237,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities • Set program outlook and direction, working with cross-functional stakeholders to outline goals and objectives. • Drive the planning and implementation of strategic and transformational programs, working closely with leads and stakeholders across multiple functions. Establish goals, schedule, milestones, and manage dependencies and anticipate/resolve execution issues. • Be the trusted owner of the status of your projects/programs. Drive visibility on progress, dependencies, risks, or issues to executives and other stakeholders. • Manage communication of progress/status with customer groups in various locations and time zones. Own and nurture relationships between cross-functional teams. • Leverage your domain expertise, program management experience and leadership skills to help the team improve processes, accelerate program execution, and drive better quality, productivity and efficiency across the portfolio.
