Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world leader in serving science, as our Market Development Manager. In this key role, you'll develop marketing strategies and programs to support growth and innovation across our portfolio. You'll work closely with product management, commercial teams, and regional stakeholders to create compelling content, generate demand, and establish thought leadership in key markets. Working in a collaborative environment, you'll develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns that build customer value while enabling our mission to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.
Location:
This is an onsite role based in one of the following locations: Carlsbad, CA; Waltham, MA; Madison, WI; Rockford, IL; Eugene, OR; Fort Collins, CO; Grand Island, NY; or Frederick, MD. Please note that relocation assistance is not provided for this position.
A Day in the Life:
• Lead the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives to support portfolio growth and innovation
• Collaborate with product management, commercial teams, and regional stakeholders to deliver aligned marketing strategies
• Develop impactful content and campaigns to drive demand generation and strengthen market presence
• Execute integrated, multi-channel marketing programs to enhance customer value and engagement
• Position the organization as a thought leader across key markets through targeted messaging and insights
• Partner cross-functionally to drive business results
Keys to Success:
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, marketing, business administration, or related discipline with 8+ years of experience in marketing within life sciences or related industry, or Advanced degree with 6+ years of experience
Experience
• Proven expertise in developing and executing multi-channel marketing strategies and campaigns
• Experience with digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, social media, and marketing automation platforms
• Demonstrated success creating sales enablement tools and customer-facing content
• Experience influencing and collaborating across matrix organizations
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• Strong knowledge of life science research markets and competitor landscape
• Deep understanding of marketing fundamentals: 4Ps, segmentation, value proposition development
• Demonstrated ability to translate technical/scientific content into compelling customer messaging
• Strong analytical capabilities to measure campaign effectiveness and drive data-based decisions
• Strong project management and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and marketing automation/CRM platforms
• Ability to travel up to 25%
Other:
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $103,100.00–$120,300.00.
This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
