Inside the Role As an AI Software Architect for Driver Experience at Daimler Truck North America, you'll pioneer how artificial intelligence enhances both our products and our processes, from intelligent driver infotainment systems to accelerating how we design and deliver software. Working alongside global counterparts, you'll solve real-world problems by building proof of concept applications, and increase department capabilities by documenting and sharing best practices and lessons learned. Beyond our department, you'll support the AI adoption within TT/S2, support colleagues with use case implementation, and showcasing what’s possible with AI. We Take Care of Our Team Position offers a starting salary range of $78,000.00 - $100,000.00 USD  Pay Offered Dependent On Knowledge, Skills, And experience     Benefits include annual bonus program; 401k company contribution with company match up to 6% as well as non-elective company contribution of 3 - 7% depending on age; starting at 4 weeks paid vacation; 13+ calendar holidays; 8 weeks paid parental leave; employee assistance program; comprehensive healthcare plans and wellness programs; onsite fitness (at some locations); tuition assistance and volunteer paid time off; short-term and long-term disability plans.  What You Drive At DTNA • Define and develop AI use cases with the global Driver Experience development team • Document experiences, lessons learned, and solutions for the global team • Showcase AI technologies and possibilities to Driver Experience and DTNA teams • Research AI trends and evaluate applicability to Driver Experience use cases • Organize AI initiative pipeline for the Driver Experience department Knowledge You Should Bring • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science or similar field and 0-2 years of experience is required • Strong fundamentals in software development • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders • Ability to build relationships and collaborate with peers • Proven ability to rapidly learn and apply new technologies • Initiative and ownership of your area of responsibility • Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to tackle problems outside your immediate expertise • An attached resume is required Exceptional Candidates Might Have • Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to tackle problems outside your immediate expertise • Experience in automotive or commercial vehicle industry • Experience with AI/ML technologies • Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering • Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to tackle problems outside your immediate expertise • Demonstrated passion for AI evangelism and problem solving through AI Where We Work This position is open to applicants who can work in (or relocate to) the following location(s)- Portland, OR US.
