Full description
Referment is working with the venture studio of an established investment and technology firm. The studio develops new technology-led businesses and is looking for an engineering-oriented AI product professional who can turn loosely defined business problems into prototypes, internal tools and lightweight products.
This is a hands-on role at the boundary of product management and engineering. You will work with internal leads to frame opportunities, build enough of the solution to demonstrate value, and then collaborate with engineers or vendors to develop the strongest prototypes into robust MVPs.
The Role
• Translate business pain points into scoped technical solution paths.
• Prototype with LLM APIs, orchestration frameworks, vector databases and open-source components.
• Build simple user-facing interfaces that demonstrate product viability.
• Work with engineers and external partners to move prototypes towards broader adoption.
• Apply AI across internal tools, process automation and workflow improvement for the studio and its portfolio.
What We're Looking For
• A bachelor's degree or higher and three to six years of relevant experience.
• At least two years developing technology products with engineering teams and at least one year building workflow products.
• Practical intuition for applying LLMs and modern AI tools to business problems.
• Evidence of turning ambiguous prompts into scoped plans and working solutions with limited oversight.
• Hands-on coding or close delivery experience with developers; startup, internal-tools or R&D experience is useful.
This could suit a technical product manager, product engineer or early-stage builder who enjoys zero-to-one work and can bridge commercial needs with implementation.
