Location: Miami, Florida (Hybrid Working) Salary: Up to $230,000 Base + Equity Employment: Full-time, Permanent Recruitment Partner: Searchability The Opportunity Searchability is recruiting for an ambitious, early-stage technology startup in Miami looking to hire a Founding Engineer to help build and scale its product from the ground up. This is an opportunity to join at the earliest stages, work directly with the founders and take genuine ownership of the technical direction, architecture and development of a high-growth technology business. We're looking for an engineer who loves building, thrives in fast-moving environments and wants to make a real impact rather than simply contribute to an existing codebase. What You'll Be Doing • Design, develop and launch products from concept through to production. • Build scalable backend services, APIs and intuitive frontend applications. • Work directly with founders to shape product strategy and technical decisions. • Take ownership of architecture, infrastructure and deployment. • Integrate AI/LLM technologies and automation where appropriate. • Rapidly prototype, test and iterate based on customer feedback. • Help establish engineering best practices as the company scales. • Play a key role in shaping the future engineering team. What We're Looking For • Strong commercial software engineering experience, ideally within a startup or scale-up. • Excellent experience with Python, TypeScript, JavaScript or similar modern languages. • Experience with frameworks such as React, Next.js, Node.js or FastAPI. • Strong understanding of APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure and system architecture. • Experience building and shipping products end-to-end. • Comfortable working across frontend, backend and infrastructure. • Interest in AI, LLMs, automation and emerging technologies. • A product-focused mindset with the ability to work independently and make technical decisions. • Based in Miami or within commuting distance and comfortable with hybrid working. Nice to Have • Previous experience as a Founding Engineer or early engineering hire. • Experience building AI-native products, LLM applications or autonomous agents. • Experience with AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes or CI/CD. • Experience taking a product from 0 to 1. • Previous entrepreneurial experience or personal products launched.
