Vapi (/ˈVɑːpi/):
Voice AI that resolves, not transfers
Powering 1 billion calls for companies like Amazon Ring, Intuit, ServiceTitan, and New York Life
Trusted by 1 million developers building the future of voice agents
Backed by Peak XV, Bessemer, Kleiner Perkins, M12, Y Combinator, and more with $72M raised
Why We’re Hiring This Role:
Enterprise prospects need hands-on technical guidance to go from interest to a successful pilot to production.
Vapi’s API has 4,200 points of configuration, so enterprises can deploy even the most complex CX use cases. Solutions Engineers bring that to life during the sales cycle.
Solutions Engineers are the bridge between customers, Sales, and Product. What you learn in the field shapes what we build next.
What You’ll Do:
30 days: Ramp on Vapi’s architecture, build your own voice agents end-to-end, and learn how customers build with our APIs.
60 days: Lead technical discovery, scope integrations with telephony, CRM, and backend systems, and prototype voice agent solutions alongside AEs.
90 days: Own the technical side of strategic enterprise sales cycles and pilots end-to-end with AEs, from first demo through security review and production handoff.
Ongoing: Build reusable demos, reference architectures, and documentation. Bring customer feedback to Product and Engineering to influence the roadmap.
Who You Are:
3+ years in solutions engineering, sales engineering, forward deployed engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
You’ve worked at a high-growth company somewhere between Series B and Series F.
You’re a world-class educator who can explain complex systems to engineers and executives alike.
You’re hands-on with code. You’re comfortable with REST APIs, webhooks, and scripting in Python or JavaScript, and you can build a working prototype quickly.
Experience with telephony, contact center platforms, or LLM-based applications is a strong plus.
You stay calm and resourceful when a live demo or pilot goes sideways.
Bonus: You’ve built your own startup.

Generational impact: Build the human interface for every business
Ownership culture: 70% of the company are previous founders
