Principal AI Engineer (Remote) Principal AI Engineer Full Remote with option to be 1-2 days a week on-site (hybrid) in San Mateo if you'd like. $250k-$350k base (may have some flex here if needed) + equity We just secured $45+M in Series B funding! Position Overview We are seeking a Principal AI Engineer to lead our AI initiatives and drive the development of cutting-edge AI solutions. This role will focus on leveraging advanced technologies such as Retrieval, Large Language Models (LLM), and cloud services to enhance our AI capabilities and deliver impactful solutions for the business. Key Responsibilities • Lead the design and implementation of AI models and systems using Retrieval techniques and LLMs. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify AI opportunities and integrate AI solutions into existing products. • Develop and maintain scalable AI infrastructure on cloud platforms such as AWS. • Mentor and guide junior engineers in AI methodologies and best practices. • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI technologies and apply them to improve company products and processes. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's or PhD preferred. • Proven experience as an AI Engineer or similar role with a focus on retrieval and large language models. • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Scala, and Python. • Experience with AI frameworks and libraries including PyTorch, HuggingFace, Pinecone, and Weaviate. • Familiarity with cloud computing services, particularly AWS.
