The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Position Summary The VP - Data, Analytics, AI & Automation Officer (CDAO) will lead the global strategy and execution for data, analytics, artificial intelligence, and intelligent automation across DePuy Synthes. This executive will establish the company's enterprise data foundation, enabling data-driven decision making, digital surgery innovation, operational efficiency, and AI-enabled business transformation. This role will build modern data platforms, AI capabilities, and automation frameworks that power innovation across R&D, supply chain, manufacturing, commercial operations, and corporate functions. This role will also play a key role in building the data architecture during the separation. Key Responsibilities: Enterprise Data Strategy • Define the enterprise data strategy and roadmap for the standalone DePuy Synthes organization. • Establish enterprise data governance, quality, and stewardship frameworks. Modern Data Platform • Build and operate the company's modern data platform and data lakehouse architecture. • Enable enterprise data integration across ERP, CRM, manufacturing systems, clinical data, and commercial systems. AI & Machine Learning • Develop and deploy AI/ML capabilities across: • supply chain optimization • predictive maintenance • demand forecasting • quality analytics • clinical and product analytics • commercial insights Intelligent Automation • Lead enterprise automation strategy including: • robotic process automation • intelligent workflows • AI agents • operational automation Advanced Analytics • Build advanced analytics capabilities supporting: • commercial performance • surgeon engagement • hospital analytics • supply chain optimization • financial planning Data Governance & Compliance • Ensure global data governance, regulatory compliance, and ethical AI practices across all data and AI initiatives. Data & AI Talent Strategy • Build and scale world-class global data, AI, and analytics teams. This position is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program.
