What You'll Do:
• Design, develop, integrate, and securely deploy AI and machine learning solutions within large-scale federal environments
• Build modern data pipelines, AI-enabled workflows, and intelligent automation systems
• Support cloud-native, cybersecurity-informed architectures
• Contribute to responsible, secure, and mission-aligned AI adoption
• Help modernize critical government systems that impact millions of Americans
• Work alongside senior technical leaders solving complex national-scale challenges
Who We're Looking For:
• Strong hands-on technical expertise
• Proven ability to solve difficult engineering problems
• Experience working with complex systems, large datasets, or enterprise environments
• Technical leadership capabilities and sound engineering judgment
• Ability to contribute immediately in high-impact modernization efforts
Federal experience is helpful but not required.
Interview Process:
Candidates selected for interviews will deliver a 20-minute presentation covering:
🔹 The most technically difficult thing they have ever worked on
🔹 The biggest challenge they encountered
🔹 How they solved it and what they learned
Professional Development Opportunity:
Selected candidates will participate in a structured AI Engineering Certificate Program during their first six months of employment, including applied technical training and a real-world project experience.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Johns Hopkins Certificate in Artificial Intelligence Engineering.
Compensation:
These opportunities are aligned with GS-14 to GS-15 federal technical leadership levels, with total compensation generally ranging from approximately $145,000 to $220,000+ depending on qualifications, experience, locality adjustments, and final placement level.
