Focus Capital is looking for an up-and-coming AI engineer with extensive technology experience to join our partner's hedge fund. The fund is going through a massive AI transformation and we are seeking someone who is both technical and able to collaborate with business stakeholders to partner, roadmap and integrate AI solutions using some of the top LLMs. In this role, you will also formulate your own use cases and partner with vendors (i.e. OpenAI, Google) to implement and finetune AI products that streamline business processes across the entire organization, ranging from front office traders to technology teams. In addition to AI and engineering aspects, you will at times act as stakeholder-facing project manager to determine the goals of each business unit and how they can achieve this through the use large language models. You will also act as the first point of contact for troubleshooting any AI partner and application integrations. This includes administering and supporting AI assistants and applications like ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, among others, as well as provisioning licenses and access across the organization in tandem with the company's security team. In this role, you are joining the best of breed trading organization as one of the first AI transformation hires, which will present a lot of new opportunities and longevity within the firm. Minimum Qualifications: • 5+ years of overall technology experience (i.e. engineering, support, infrastructure) • 2+ years of experience with Gen AI assistants and LLMS (i.e. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copliot etc) • Prior experience integrating AI functions into existing applications. • Tangible experience working with ETL, relational databases, SQL, NoSQL or MongoDB. • Python experience • Desire to work with emerging AI tools • Prior professional experience with cloud environments (i.e. AWS, GCP, Azure) • A bachelors or higher in computer science or a related field • Must have excellent communication skills.
