We are looking for an Junior AI Data Scientist, based in Alpharetta. Your Team The Chief Technical Office (CTO) is responsible for working with technical functions including Pricing, Product Management, Underwriting Integrity, Reinsurance, Portfolio and Accumulation Steering including Catastrophe Management, and Risk Consulting to ensure we are building Technical Excellence across our North America region, and in alignment with the overall global approach. The Impact You Will Have Reporting to the Chief Technical Officer, NA, you will assist in implementing the Allianz Commercial North America AI strategy. You will be responsible for enabling the design, development and delivery of high-impact AI solutions and driving adoption. You will also be responsible for communicating updates to the AI expert and conducting related management reporting. You will also support measuring performance through related KPIs, working actively to improve our overall strategy, tools and processes. Some of your specific responsibilities could include: • Assisting with developing and implementing the AI strategy for North America, including driving innovation and change to improve efficiency in Underwriting and other areas • Helping to foster a data-driven culture. • Defining and establishing interfaces to neighbouring teams and leveraging AI to create more efficient work processes. • Increasing automation, optimizing data processing methods, and integrating complex business logic to scale complex data sets. • Providing expert analysis to support business planning and transformation programs, including developing and communicating best practices to tell effective stories through data solutions. • Collaborating and coordinating cross-LoB, cross-functional and cross-geographical senior level management as well as other data managers, including defining scope, agreeing on timeframes and executing deliverables with guidance from the AI expert. • Activating and leveraging existing resources across the business to develop cross-collaboration, manage relationships to enable diverse groups to collaborate and achieve sustainable outputs. • Coaching other CTO employees in AI strategy, implementation, and use as needed. What You’ll Bring to the Role • A minimum of 1 year of experience in applying the knowledge of AI and machine learning at an enterprise level; • Background in developing enterprise architecture and incorporating application design and application of work processes and tools; • Knowledge of Underwriting, Distribution, and insurer financials, including knowledge of Allianz policies, technologies, procedures; • Ability to work with the business, IT, and support teams to align and deliver solutions; • Experience with data and analytics; • Project management skills, including change management and quality management; • Strong written and verbal communications skills, with an ability to develop and positively influence key, strategic position holders across locations and functions; and • Bachelor’s degree in in Data Science/Computer Science (graduate degree a plus). • A basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential applications in business is essential. The annualized base pay range for this role is $72,000 - $83,000. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package.
