About this role

Location: Palmdale, CA / Rancho Vista Family Dentistry Type: Part Time/ Full-Time (Hybrid: In-Office → Remote Transition) About Us: We are a growing, forward-thinking dental practice building a technology-driven operation to scale efficiently. Our goal is to integrate AI and automation into everyday workflows—from patient communication to internal systems—and we’re looking for someone technical to help build that foundation. The Opportunity: This is a unique role for someone with a technical background who wants to apply their skills in a real-world business setting. You’ll begin by learning how a dental practice operates on the front lines, then transition into designing and implementing automation systems that improve efficiency and growth. What You’ll Do: - Learn and manage front office workflows (scheduling, patient communication, insurance coordination) - Interact directly with patients to build strong customer service and communication skills - Build and implement automation systems using AI tools and APIs - Develop scripts or lightweight applications to streamline operations - Integrate software platforms (CRM, scheduling, communication tools) - Identify inefficiencies and engineer scalable solutions - Work directly with the owner to modernize and grow the business Who We’re Looking For: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field - Basic programming experience (Python, JavaScript, or similar) - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Comfortable interacting with patients in a professional setting - Interest in AI, automation, and system design - Highly organized with strong attention to detail - Quick learner with a problem-solving mindset Training & Work Structure: - First 3–6 months in-office focused on: - Learning front office operations - Developing customer service skills through patient interaction - Understanding real-world workflow challenges - Transition to hybrid or primarily remote work after training, based on performance No Dental Experience Required We will train you on all aspects of the dental front office. Your technical ability and willingness to build systems—combined with strong people skills—are what matter most. Choose ONE: Option A (Coding):Write a simple script (Python, JavaScript, etc.) that: Takes a list of patient names and appointment times Outputs a formatted reminder message for each patient Option B (No-Code / Low-Code):Design a simple automation using tools like Zapier, Make, or similar: Example: When a form is submitted → send a confirmation message Deliverable: Code file OR screenshots + explanation Keep it simple and clear Part 3: Real-World Awareness This role starts in a patient-facing environment.
