About the Role
We’re hiring full-time Research Assistants to help us collect and review high-quality conversational audio data for advanced AI systems.
This is a remote position focused on conducting and participating in natural spoken conversations, following research protocols, and helping ensure the quality and consistency of recorded data.
The work is conversational and human-centred. Sessions are unscripted, casual, and designed to sound like real-world dialogue rather than voice acting or scripted reads.
A few example prompts conversations may begin with:
• “What’s a small thing that made you laugh this week?”
• “If you had a free Saturday with no obligations, what would you do?”
• “What’s something you used to believe that you don’t anymore?”
• “Tell me about a place that feels like home to you.”
You’ll work closely with our operations and research teams to support ongoing AI data collection efforts.
About You
• Native or fully fluent English speaker with clear, natural speech
• Comfortable speaking with new people in a conversational setting
• Curious and engaged; able to ask thoughtful follow-up questions
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow recording guidelines consistently
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Compensation
• Approximately $6,900 USD per month
• Full-time schedule: 40 hours per week
• Bi-Weekly pay
• Fully remote position
Responsibilities
• Participate in and facilitate natural conversational recording sessions
• Maintain consistent audio quality throughout recordings
• Follow project protocols and documentation standards
• Support conversational data collection and research workflows
• Communicate with operations staff regarding scheduling and task completion
Technical Requirements
• Laptop or desktop computer (no phones or tablets)
• External microphone recommended
• Wired headphones required (Bluetooth and AirPods not supported)
• Quiet recording environment with minimal background noise
• Stable internet connection capable of uninterrupted audio sessions
