About Pareto.AI Pareto.AI is a human data platform connecting experienced professionals with leading AI researchers to help build safer, more reliable AI systems grounded in real-world expertise. Project Overview This project focuses on improving the ability of advanced AI systems to perform complex legal reasoning rooted in transactional and commercial law. We are building an AI legal assistant capable of drafting and reviewing contracts, identifying commercial and regulatory risk, and producing structured legal analysis reflective of professional transactional practice. Who We're Looking For Experienced transactional attorneys and contract lawyers who regularly draft, negotiate, or review commercial agreements and advise on business transactions. Candidates may come from a variety of transactional backgrounds including: • Corporate, M&A, or private equity • Commercial contracts and vendor agreements • Startup and venture capital counsel • General counsel or in-house corporate roles • Regulatory compliance and government affairs • Tax structuring, entity formation, or transactional tax advisory Scope of Work Selected experts will design and evaluate realistic legal tasks reflecting professional transactional and commercial workflows. Examples include: • Contract drafting, review, and risk assessment • Stock purchase agreement and disclosure schedule preparation • Contract compliance review • NDA review, drafting, and negotiation • IP license agreement drafting • Regulatory examination response preparation • Evaluating AI-generated contract language for accuracy and completeness • Grading model outputs and providing structured feedback Minimum Requirements • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree • Active or previously held license to practice law • Experience drafting or analyzing commercial legal documents • Ability to identify legal issues and risks in complex scenarios Ideal Experience • Corporate or transactional practice involving contract drafting or negotiation • Experience producing legal memoranda or advisory analysis on deal structure • Regulatory or compliance analysis involving statutes or administrative rules • Tax structuring, partnership agreements, or transactional tax experience a plus • Familiarity with common legal research and document review tools Compensation $125/hour for approved submissions. Additional ad-hoc expert tasks may also be offered at the same rate. Timeline and Commitment Ongoing initiative with flexible participation. 10-15 hours/week. Initial work is expected within the first week after acceptance.
