Snapshot The Technical Program Management (T/PgM) team shapes and accelerates the delivery of Google DeepMind’s highest priorities. We bring focus to optimize program delivery, ensuring all efforts converge on achieving our most critical goals. Our cross-functional expertise bridges program and organizational silos, connecting the dots to uncover valuable insights that influence strategic decision-making and drive groundbreaking technical progress at pace. About Us Artificial Intelligence could be one of humanity’s most useful inventions. At Google DeepMind, we’re a team of scientists, engineers, machine learning experts and more, working together to advance the state of the art in artificial intelligence. We use our technologies for widespread public benefit and scientific discovery, and collaborate with others on critical challenges, ensuring safety and ethics are the highest priority. The Role To support effective integration at Google scale, Google DeepMind requires a robust, strategic coordination layer between our core AI research and Google’s massive product divisions (such as Search, Workspace, and the Gemini App). As a Senior Technical Program Manager for Cross-Product Engagements, you will own and define the portfolio governance layer for our most critical enterprise-wide initiatives. You will step away from daily launch execution to focus entirely on the broader strategic ecosystem—driving alignment across massive product ecosystems, mapping long-term roadmaps, and guiding complex resourcing decisions across major business units. By acting as the strategic bridge between fundamental model advancements and concrete product features, you will ensure Google DeepMind and our product partners maintain a shared technical vision, deep mutual trust, and seamless alignment for major company moments. Key responsibilities: Strategic Stakeholder Leadership: Act as strategic liaison between Google DeepMind and senior leadership across massive product divisions. Build deep, high-trust relationships with VPs, Chiefs of Staff, and Product Leads to foster a collaborative, unified approach to AI integration. Portfolio Alignment & Governance: Establish clear rules of engagement and orchestrate high-level review rhythms focused on strategic risk assessment. Move beyond basic tracking to drive active consensus—ensuring joint accountability, shared OKRs, and proactive preparation for major global launches. Translational Capability Mapping: Bridge the framing gap between core AI model advancements and specific features within partner product divisions. Map external business unit goals to specific technical milestones, identifying "multi-way wins" where a single AI advancement unlocks value across multiple Google surfaces. Decision Support & Conflict Resolution: Synthesize operational data and roadmaps to facilitate executive-level trade-offs. Proactively identify and resolve strategic misalignments before they escalate. Expert Enablement & Bridge Building: Define what successful cross-collaboration looks like by building resilient, dependable pathways between Google DeepMind technical experts and partner product teams. Function as a force multiplier to make cross-organizational collaboration effortless, ensuring both sides feel represented and set up for mutual success. About You In order to set you up for success as a Technical Program Manager at Google DeepMind, we look for the following skills and experience: Experience: 12+ of experience leading complex, organizational-level technical programs, with a strong track record of managing massive, multi-stakeholder product portfolios and cross-business unit partnerships. Technical Foundation: Expert-level technical background, with profound AI knowledge. You deeply understand the realities of model development, AI infrastructure, and compute constraints, allowing you to tether strategic operational planning to technical reality. Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional executive presence and stakeholder management skills. You are highly adept at operating as a peer to product division leadership, building consensus across a highly matrixed enterprise, negotiating trade-offs, and acting as a trusted advisor to executive leadership. Leadership & Ownership: Demonstrated ability to protect your strategic scope and prevent operational drift. You excel at taking full ownership of cross-product alignment, bringing clarity to ambiguity, and structuring governance across business units without becoming bogged down in daily launch fires. Adaptability: Proven ability to navigate highly ambiguous, ever-evolving environments, demonstrating visionary leadership and resourcefulness in resolving systemic challenges across vast organizational boundaries. AI Passion & Practical Application: Passionate about AGI and deeply curious about emerging technologies. You are a hands-on practitioner who actively utilizes the latest AI tools and agents to accelerate workflows and drive operational excellence. The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $240,000 USD - 334,000 USD + bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location and level during the hiring process.
