Data and Artificial Intelligence Governance Engagement & Delivery Senior Manager Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Data and Artificial Intelligence Governance Engagement & Delivery Senior Manager to join the team in Seattle, WA; Dallas, TX; Mesa, AZ; North Charleston, SC; or Ridley Park, PA. We are seeking a dynamic, people-focused Senior Manager to lead Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Governance Engagement & Delivery across the enterprise. This role combines strategic leadership, hands-on delivery, and cross-functional engagement to operationalize enterprise data and AI governance, scale data stewardship, and enable governed use of Data & AI. The ideal candidate has proven experience building and running enterprise data governance programs, deep knowledge of Data and AI governance frameworks and model risk controls, strong familiarity with data platforms and governance tools, excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills, and a demonstrated ability to lead teams and community engagement. Position Responsibilities: • Lead end-to-end delivery of the enterprise data and AI governance program: strategy execution, governance operating model, policies, standards, roadmaps, and metrics • Design, implement, and operationalize AI governance controls (model inventory, model risk assessments, model documentation, model monitoring, explainability and fairness checks) alongside data governance practices. • Build, grow, and enable the data stewardship and model stewardship communities and governance councils; define roles, responsibilities, and operating processes for stewards • Serve as primary engagement lead for data and AI governance initiatives with business and technology stakeholders; translate business needs into governance requirements and delivery plans • Implement and operate data governance tooling and metadata solutions (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Microsoft Purview, Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC)) and AI governance platforms or modules in partnership with platform and engineering teams • Collaborate with Data Platform, Data Engineering, Machine Learning (ML)/AI, Security, Legal, Privacy, and Analytics teams to integrate governance controls, ensure compliance with Data & AI policies, and enable secure, responsible model deployment • Develop and track governance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and dashboards (data quality, stewardship adoption, data lineage coverage, policy adherence, model inventory coverage, model validation status), and report progress to leadership • Coach, mentor, and grow a high-performing team focused on engagement, change management, and governance delivery • Drive change management and communication plans to increase data and AI literacy and adoption of governance practices across the organization • Facilitate resolution of data ownership, access, model ownership, and policy interpretation issues; escalate as required BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience): • 10+ years of experience in data governance, data management, and/or a related function within aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries • 10+ years of experience people management experience do you have, to include responsibility for performance management and career development of direct reports • 5+ years of experience in leading Data Stewardship • 5+ years of experience leading Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Governance Programs • 5+ years of experience collaborating and communicating to work across Information Technology and Information/Government Security Functions Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): • Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, Business Administration, or related field • Certifications in data governance, data management, AI governance, or metadata tools (e.g., DGSP, CDMP, Collibra Certification) • Experience in regulated industries (aerospace, finance, healthcare) or large enterprise environments • Experience with data quality tools and practices, data modeling, and master data management • Experience with AI-specific tooling for governance (model registries, monitoring frameworks, feature stores) and ML Ops practices Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
