• Demonstrate mastery of prompt engineering and Claude Code to build and optimize AI-powered research workflows, ensuring consistent, high-quality intelligence outputs.
• Train business unit stakeholders and team members on AI-enabled tools and workflows to broaden organizational intelligence capacity.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities to enhance RTI’s intelligence and strategic decision-support capabilities.
Market Sensing, Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence
• Lead RTI’s market-sensing function, collaborating with business units, business development teams, and subject-matter experts to identify, prioritize, and communicate the market and competitive intelligence most relevant to their work and to RTI’s growth in federal and commercial markets.
• Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Office of Corporate Strategy and executive leadership; translate AI-generated outputs into clear, human-centered strategic narratives that inform investment decisions.
• Proactively clarify the scope and intended use of intelligence tasks — from the outset and at key interim milestones — to ensure outputs remain relevant and actionable for the teams that will act on them.
Intelligence Infrastructure & Continuous Improvement
• Design and maintain RTI’s strategic intelligence infrastructure, including data sources, analysis workflows, and insight products.
• Develop dashboards, reporting frameworks, and intelligence briefs that support leadership decision-making.
• Continuously improve the rigor, efficiency, and impact of RTI’s intelligence processes.
• Establish best practices for responsible use of AI within strategic analysis workflows.
What You'll Need
• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience in strategy, market/competitive intelligence, consulting, or policy analysis.
• Demonstrated experience using AI tools and large language models for research and analysis, including mastery-level prompt engineering and demonstrated use of Claude Code.
• Experience with market intelligence platforms and federal funding data sources (e.g., GovWin, USASpending, SAM.gov); strong data visualization skills (Power BI or equivalent).
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills; ability to engage executive, technical, and operational audiences effectively and to clarify requirements proactively.
Preferred Qualifications & Attributes:
• Experience designing or working with AI agents or automated research workflows.
• Experience building or managing strategic intelligence capabilities within complex organizations.
