AI Solutions Consultant — Microsoft Copilot + Anthropic Claude (Part-Time / Contract) Remote — work from anywhere in the world (hours aligned to 8am–5pm Pacific / Los Angeles time) Businesses are asking their IT providers hard AI questions right now, and we're answering them with real deployments — not slideware. We are a San Diego-based MSP looking for a working AI practitioner to help us design and deliver AI solutions for our clients and to sit alongside the owner in client-facing AI meetings. About us. We're an established managed IT services provider. We run security and compliance engagements (CMMC, SOC 2) for regulated clients and have an active AI enablement practice: we deploy Microsoft 365 Copilot and Anthropic Claude for client organizations, connect their line-of-business systems through APIs and MCP connectors, and put governance around what the AI can and cannot see. About the role. Twelve months in, you'll have co-delivered AI engagements end to end: readiness audits, Copilot and Claude rollouts, custom integrations, and employee onboarding — and you'll be the technical voice in the room when a client asks "how do we use this safely?" Location truly doesn't matter — what matters is that you're available and sharp during our business hours. What you'll do ○ Join client AI strategy meetings as the subject-matter expert on both the Microsoft and Anthropic ecosystems ○ Interview client companies about their entire technology stack — every application and third-party software they run — to understand their business and map where AI genuinely fits ○ Deploy and administer Microsoft 365 Copilot — licensing, admin-center policies, agents, and Microsoft's Frontier program tools (Cowork, Scout) ○ Deploy Claude Team and Claude Code for client organizations, including MCP connectors into systems like document management, PSA, and HR platforms ○ Document each AI solution has been crafted in great detail and works alongside our employees as a teammate to accomplish each project. ○ Run API integration discovery: evaluate a client's application stack, rank integrations by ROI, and build the ones that matter ○ Design the governance layer — Entra ID hardening, permission scoping, data-exposure mapping — so AI reaches employees safely from day one ○ Plan and execute AI projects end to end — and clearly explain the costs, hours, and timelines involved to the client before and during the work ○ Help train client staff and document deployments for ongoing support Required ○ Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot administration in a real tenant ○ Understand where Microsoft is going with their newer AI models and stay in front of how technology works on the bleeding edge of what Microsoft is doing with cowork/Copilot/Frontier/Scout. ○ Hands-on experience with Anthropic Claude (Team/Enterprise) and Claude Code, including MCP or API-based integrations ○ Experience calling and integrating business APIs (REST, OAuth) into workflows or AI tools ○ Experience running discovery with businesses — interviewing companies about their applications and full technology stack, not just their IT department ○ Solid project planning and execution skills, including scoping and communicating cost and time to non-technical stakeholders ○ Ability to explain AI capability and risk plainly to non-technical business owners ○ Available during business hours, 8am–5pm Pacific (Los Angeles time), from wherever in the world you are Preferred ○ Interest in ISO/IEC 42001 (AI management systems) — we're building formal AI governance into our compliance practice, and we'd love someone who wants to grow into that ○ MSP or IT consulting background; familiarity with Entra ID, Intune, or M365 security ○ Copilot Studio / agent-building experience Security requirement — please be genuinely OK with this before applying. Because we work inside client environments under compliance frameworks, all client work is done on a company-provided, managed laptop that we ship to you. Activity and logs on that machine are monitored and retained — that's how we keep our clients' data secure and pass our audits.
