Job Summary
We are seeking a Agentic AI Engineer to design, build, and scale enterprise-grade, multi-agent AI systems that can reason, plan, and act across complex business and engineering workflows. This role focuses on engineering stateful, orchestrated agent architectures-including planner, executor, and supervisory patterns-using Python-based agent frameworks. The engineer will build systems where multiple agents coordinate through shared state, tools, and memory to accomplish multi-step objectives reliably and securely. The position extends beyond traditional automation by combining agent orchestration, large language models, and Microsoft's AI and automation ecosystem. Solutions are expected to integrate with enterprise platforms, apply human-in-the-loop controls, and operate within defined governance and reliability guardrails. The ideal candidate has advanced beyond foundational automation or scripting roles and is ready to own end-to-end agentic workflows, contributing to reusable AI platforms that move from experimentation into governed, production use.
This is a hybrid role in our corporate headquarters in suburban Philadelphia (Colmar, PA) with the expectation to be onsite two to three days per week. Preference will be given to local talent.
Primary Duties
Agentic AI Engineering
• Design, implement, and maintain single- and multi-agent AI systems using Python and agent orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph.
• Engineer planner, executor, and supervisory agent patterns that coordinate through shared state, memory, and tool invocation to accomplish complex, multi-step objectives.
• Build stateful, goal-driven agent workflows that reason across steps, adapt to intermediate outcomes, and recover from errors.
• Implement appropriate human-in-the-loop controls, guardrails, and auditability to ensure reliable, secure, and governed agent behavior.
Microsoft AI & Automation Platform Integration
• Develop AI-driven workflows using Power Automate and Copilot Studio, embedding agentic capabilities into enterprise business processes.
• Leverage Azure AI Foundry and related Azure services to deploy, manage, and govern AI solutions in alignment with enterprise standards.
• Integrate AI agents with Microsoft 365, Dataverse, APIs, and other enterprise systems to enable end-to-end automation and decision support.
Large Language Model (LLM) Enablement
• Build and test agent workflows using OpenAI Codex, Anthropic Claude (Claude Code) and other large language models.
• Apply prompt engineering, tool-calling, and structured output techniques appropriate for enterprise and production use cases.
Architecture & Engineering Alignment
• Contribute to internal AI platforms informed by ideation and engineering initiatives, including multi-agent orchestration, agent-assisted discovery, and complex coordination workflows.
• Collaborate with architecture, security, and data teams to ensure agentic solutions align with enterprise design, governance, and integration patterns.
• Document agent designs, orchestration patterns, and operational considerations to support reuse, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
Qualifications
• 3+ years of professional experience in software development, automation engineering, or AI-adjacent roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python for production-grade development.
• Hands-on experience with LangGraph or similar agent orchestration frameworks.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft's AI and automation ecosystem, including Azure AI Foundry, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio.
• Experience working with large language models, including Anthropic Claude / Claude Code.
• Solid understanding of APIs, JSON, and system integration.
Preferred:
• Experience designing stateful or multi-agent systems.
• Familiarity with enterprise AI governance, security, and compliance.
• Experience evolving automation solutions into intelligent, AI-driven systems.
Education / Experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
