The Opportunity: As an AI Security Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing secure AI and machine learning (AI/ML) architectures throughout our organization. This position combines the fields of cybersecurity and AI engineering, ensuring that AI models, data pipelines, and their supporting infrastructures are safeguarded against various threats including data poisoning, model inversion, prompt injection, and adversarial attacks. Your contributions will be crucial in shaping enterprise AI security strategies, establishing robust frameworks for secure model deployment, ensuring compliance with emerging AI regulations, and integrating security-by-design principles in all AI projects. You Have: • 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, systems architecture, or software engineering, focused on AI/ML solution design • 5+ years of experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community, or federal civilian agency missions • 3+ years of experience designing, deploying, and securing AI/ML pipelines, including model training, inference, and monitoring • Proficiency in large language model platforms and APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI Service, and Amazon Bedrock, alongside ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and Hugging Face Transformers, as well as data engineering and analytics platforms such as Databricks, Apache Spark, Snowflake, and Apache Iceberg • Experience with ML orchestration and serving platforms like Amazon SageMaker, Vertex AI, MLFlow, and Kubeflow • Expertise in implementing AI security controls, including data provenance, model integrity, and AI supply chain risk management • Hands-on experience integrating AI into operational workflows, particularly in SOC automation, threat detection, and cyber analytics • Knowledge of AI governance frameworks and DoD Responsible AI principles • Current Secret clearance • High School diploma or GED • DoD 8140 Certification such as Security+, CISSP, CASP+, or CCSP Certification Nice If You Have: • Experience working in IL5, IL6, or IL7 environments • Experience developing AI-enabled defensive cyber capabilities such as automated triage, detection engineering, or autonomous response • Experience securing large language models, RAG architectures, or autonomous AI systems • Experience with MLOps or AIOps practices, including model versioning, drift detection, and performance monitoring • Experience with real-time stream processing platforms such as Cribl, Kafka, or Flink for AI data ingestion • Experience in data governance for AI training data in multi-classification or coalition settings • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Cybersecurity, or Engineering Clearance: Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is required. This range represents the typical compensation for this role and is one part of Booz Allen's comprehensive total compensation package.
