OVERVIEW We are building a narrative AI film studio focused on Christian & spiritual animation; we are seeking an AI Narrative Assembly Editor to help transform AI-generated images and video into coherent narrative sequences within a generative filmmaking pipeline. This role focuses on story assembly and pacing—taking generated shots, clips, and visual fragments and shaping them into scenes that support the narrative. You will work closely with AI artists, directors, and creative leads to assemble rough cuts, identify missing coverage, and guide additional shot generation where needed. Candidates with backgrounds in film editing, directing, animation editing, or visual effects are strongly encouraged to apply. RESPONSIBILITIES Narrative Assembly • Assemble AI-generated images, clips, and scenes into rough narrative sequences • Shape pacing, transitions, and shot order to maintain story clarity and emotional flow • Build animatics or rough cuts to preview narrative structure and timing Shot Development & Coverage Direction • Identify missing or weak shots during editing and recommend additional coverage • Provide clear direction to AI artists regarding shot types, framing, or emotional beats needed for a scene • Guide generation strategy to improve narrative pacing and visual clarity Generative Media Integration • Integrate AI-generated assets into editing timelines • Maintain visual continuity for characters, environments, and style across scenes • Provide feedback on which generated assets are usable or need revision Post-Production Editing • Assemble sequences using editing software such as DaVinci Resolve • Perform basic compositing, timing adjustments, and cleanup of generated assets • Correct visual inconsistencies or AI artifacts when possible Pipeline Collaboration • Work closely with AI artists generating images and video • Collaborate with directors and creative leads to refine narrative structure • Deliver draft sequences for review and iteration within the production pipeline Asset & Workflow Organization • Manage project timelines and versioned edits • Organize generated clips, images, and references within shared production folders • Maintain clear edit versions for iterative review QUALIFICATIONS Required • Experience editing narrative video content (reels focused primarily on marketing, social media, or short-form content may not be considered) • Strong understanding of pacing, shot language, and cinematic storytelling • Proficiency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar editing software • Ability to work iteratively within a collaborative creative pipeline Preferred • Experience working with AI-generated video or images in production workflows • Background in film editing, directing, animation editing, VFX, or digital media production • Familiarity with generative video tools or AI-assisted editing workflows APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS To apply, please submit: • A couple sentences explaining why you are interested in this role • A portfolio or reel with links to narrative editing work, preferably AI-created, showing storytelling or cinematic sequences with consistent characters or environments across scenes Applications without portfolio links may not be considered.
