As a Manager in AI, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing data science initiatives, providing both technical guidance and strategic oversight. This role requires a balance of technical expertise and managerial skills. In this role you will: Project Management and Execution: • Lead the planning and execution of data science projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scopes, timelines, and deliverables. • Oversee the successful delivery of projects, managing resources and mitigating risks. Team Leadership and Development: • Lead and mentor the data science team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. • Provide guidance on technical challenges, project priorities, and skill development. • Conduct performance reviews and support professional growth within the team. Advanced Analytics and Modeling: • Contribute to the development and implementation of advanced analytical models and algorithms. • Collaborate with the team to solve complex business problems using statistical and machine learning methods. • Ensure the quality and effectiveness of analytical models. Cross-Functional Collaboration: • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to understand business needs and objectives • Translate business requirements into actionable data science solutions. • Foster effective communication between the data science team and other business units. Quality Assurance and Best Practices: • Implement and enforce data science best practices, including testing methodologies and ethical considerations. • Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance and ethical standards. • Stay informed about advancements in data science methodologies. Stakeholder Communication and Reporting: • Communicate data science findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and comprehensible manner. • Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and visualizations to convey the impact of data science initiatives. • Solicit feedback from stakeholders to inform ongoing improvements. Resource Management and Optimization: • Manage and optimize data science resources, including staffing, training, and resource allocation. • Allocate resources effectively based on project requirements and team strengths. • Optimize operational efficiency within the data science team. The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $140,000.00 - $164,700.00 per year. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.In addition to the determined base salary, this role is also incentive eligible under our corporate bonus programs.For remote roles where the final candidate resides in Alaska, California, Colorado, Illinois, New York, Oregon or Washington, state required pay thresholds will be factored into base salary.
