About Top Ten Liquors: At Top Ten Liquors, we deliver joy for all of life’s celebrations by connecting customers with quality adult beverages, friendly service, and everyday value — both in-store and online. About the Role We’re looking for an independent AI builder who will be embedded in a real business and work with leadership. This person should be sharp and analytical who will help identify, evaluate, and integrate AI tools into our merchandising processes. This hands-on role will support buyers and the merchandising team to turn AI insights into actionable strategies. Ideal for a rising college senior or recent graduate with a strong academic record and excellent Excel/analytical skills. This is not a traditional internship. • You will have a high degree of ownership and autonomy from day one • There is minimal formal training - you will be expected to explore, test, and figure things out independently • You will work directly with senior leadership, including exposure to executive-level decision making • You will be building and shaping processes that do not yet exist This role is best suited for someone who is: • Extremely self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity • Excited to experiment, fail, and iterate quickly • Motivated by building something from scratch rather than following a defined playbook Key Responsibilities: • Research and evaluate AI tools and use cases relevant to merchandising (assortment, pricing, forecasting, vendor/buyer insights) • Pilot and document AI workflows; test tool outputs and measure performance against business metrics • Integrate AI recommendations into Excel models, dashboards, and merchandising processes • Collaborate with buyers and merchandising team to translate AI insights into buying and assortment actions • Produce concise reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders • Support AI onboarding and training for internal users What We’re Looking For: • Top college student (rising senior) or recent graduate with an exceptional resume • Strong conceptual understanding of AI application and familiarity with AI terminology/use-case evaluation • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas; Power Query or VBA a plus) and strong analytical/problem-solving ability • Ability to translate data and AI insights into clear business recommendations • Experience with ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot or other AI tools • Excellent written and verbal communication; highly organized and self-directed What You’ll Gain: • Practical experience applying AI to business through retail merchandising and assortment strategy • Exposure to pricing, demand forecasting, and digital merchandising workflows • Hands-on Excel modeling and dashboarding experience • Opportunity to build and own real AI-driven processes from the ground up • A portfolio of real-world AI applications in a retail business Disclaimer • This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee.
